Nexus boosts business mobility with ‘nexus go’ taxi service

Nexus Vehicle Rental, the UK’s leading tech-driven business mobility provider, has launched Nexus Go, a passenger taxi service to keep businesses mobile. The new service will provide an alternative means of transporting people on shorter or one-way journeys that are becoming difficult in the market due to supply challenges.

Nexus is launching its new passenger and taxi booking service in partnership with CMAC, the award-winning managed ground transport providers. The Nexus Go platform will give customers access to an online taxi booking portal where they can book a vehicle planned or on-demand. The service also provides journey progress and location updates, access to over 2,500 taxi companies throughout the UK, and a GPS tracking facility via Google Maps, with precise location capability via what3words.

Using Nexus’ innovative rental booking platform, IRIS, Nexus Go users will also be able to consolidate billing to incorporate journey fees and ancillary charges in full. Users will also have access to the customer management reporting suite in both on and offline accessible formats – providing them greater visibility of all costs and charges associated to their fleet on a single source platform, even whilst on the go.

David Brennan, CEO at Nexus Vehicle Rental, commented: “Over the last eighteen months, the Covid-19 pandemic has presented challenges across the rental industry, one being a shift in strategy from suppliers who are moving away from supporting shorter term hires such as one-day, one-way bookings. In response to this change, we are providing a unique solution to our customers through our partnership with the managed ground transport experts, CMAC Group, to offer a new, flexible solution that will meet the changing needs of our customers and the wider industry.”

“Similarly, to Nexus, the team at CMAC are focused on putting the needs of their customers at the forefront of what they do. We are pleased to be launching this new passenger and taxi booking service with CMAC, to ensure our customers are able to get where they need to go, without the need to take on additional rental vehicles for single trips.”

Peter Slater, Chief Executive at CMAC, said: “We’re committed to creating solutions that enable businesses to keep moving. Our dedicated team of experts are available round-the-clock 365 days a year to support businesses and their travellers, wherever they are in the world. We believe that CMACs commitment to client satisfaction remains unrivalled and we’re proud to be supporting Nexus on their mission to keep businesses moving efficiently and safely.

“We are delighted that Nexus has chosen CMAC as their managed taxi partner to deliver Nexus Go, their new passenger and taxi booking service, and we look forward to working closely with the team and their clients following the launch.”

Over the last 20 years, Nexus has successfully carved its market niche by applying technology to meet changing industry trends and customer demands. It has transformed the vehicle rental industry and continues to provide on-demand access to the UK’s largest rental supply chain through its award-winning software, IRIS.
